Meet Erin!

Erin Machen, MA, RYT

Hi, I’m Erin!

I am a woman, wife, mother, friend, yogi; I have been working in the healing space since 2022 and have continued to grow and evolve as a healer. I am so curious about what it means to be human and passionate about empowering individuals to find wholeness and live with confidence.

During my time in graduate school, I became fascinated by the mind-body connection, how trauma is embodied (stored in our bodies), and the power of brain and body -based modalities as a means for healing trauma. This led me to pursue more trainings such as yoga and Brainspotting.

My personal human experiences, such as working through religious trauma, friendship loss, disordered eating, as well as the deep and dark soul work I experienced through Matrescence, guide my work SO much. They gifted me compassion, empathy, and deep wisdom that I feel is so special to share with my clients.

I believe that we all experience trauma to some degree through our life experiences, which fractures our connection with ourselves, the world, and each other. This leads to distress and disease in the body, heart, mind, and society.

My role as a healer is to help clients reconnect with lost parts of themselves so that they can also relate to others and their environment in a healthier way. I view my clients as the expert of their own lives; I believe everyone possesses an inner wisdom that knows what they need. I take a holistic approach to my work and consider the mind, body, and spirit of my clients.

I may use techniques from CBT, yoga, Ayurveda, and Internal Family Systems with my clients.
